BACKGROUND
Rakuten Symphony is a Rakuten Group company, providing global B2B services for the mobile telco industry and enabling next-generation, cloud-based, international mobile services.

Building on the technology Rakuten used to launch Japan’s newest mobile network, we are now taking our mobile offering global!
To support our ambitions to provide an innovative cloud-native telco platform for our customers, Rakuten Symphony is looking to recruit and develop top talent based in Singapore. We are looking for individuals to join our team across all functional areas of our business – from sales to engineering, support functions to product development.
MY ROLE
Product Management (and more)
Intelligent Operations - Operation Support Systems devision.
The product comes under “Supporting Apps” which means it’s a standalone product that is useful in all industries.
The usuals of product - stakeholder management, product roadmapping, prioritisation, ensuring upper management is pleased….
Interfacing with internal and external stakeholders, higher management to determine product vision and direction
Bringing product into fruition with developers, technical architect, business analyst and scrum master
Understanding of Cloud based Architecture, Kubernetes, and deployment cycles
Inner workings of web platform backend architecture to communicate with technical architect to build scalably.
Product Adoption
Client 1: rmi - jAPAN
👩💻- RCP products used within Rakuten Mobile Inc.
🚀 - Rakuten Mobile Inc is using Knowledge Hub as it’s single source of truth within its organisation. Currently there are over 5000 people who have been onboarded onto Knowledge Hub.
Within 3 months of launching, the platform is able to handle the large number of employees and create knowledge.
Client 2: 1&1 - Germany
👩💻 - RCP products are being used for the delivery of 1&1 site set up delivery. Knowledge Hub is one of the first few products to be deployed on the client’s instance.
🚀 - Working onsite in Germany for 3 months to support the project delivery team and 1&1 members to use the application.
Client 3+4: DISH & undISCLOSED: USA
🚀- Product instances deployed for potential clients to give them a sense of RCP platform and hosting relevant important information for them to access.
